“So long” to our Newts…and “Hello” to a Mammoth Sunflower

Children said "So long" to our four red-spotted newts, "Speedy, Spot, Sally and Newbie", along with our snail "Carl".  They've been with us since the beginning of the year, but were missing their friends in the forest so we set them free.

Mrs. Jackson brought in a MAMMOTH sunflower from a neighbor. It was taller than our ceiling.  We're having fun collecting seeds to plant in our own yards.
