Beaches and Butterflies and Apples, Oh, My!

September was a whirlwind of fun.  We took submarine rides, built castles and read a good book when needed a break from all the fun.  We watched caterpillars eat milkweed and witnessed our own hatching from a chrysalis.  So far four male monarch butterflies have emerged.  Picking apples at Lost Acres Apple Orchard had us busy making applesauce, our own personal apple pies, and after reading, Ten Apples Up On Top, we practiced balancing our own apples.  As if that wasn't enough excitement, we then tried our hand at some Vincent Van Gogh still life painting of a sunflower and practiced our virtues, cleanliness and gentleness, with baby washing in our sensory table.  We even had time to give one another some wagon rides.  Whew!  What will October bring?
