Alumni and Eggs Return to Valley Pre-School
We have the best alumni! Today Jack, along with his mom, brought 28 eggs, their incubator and rocker to Valley Pre-School so that we could hatch little chicks. Jack told us many helpful things and the children had many interesting questions...It takes 21 days to hatch an egg, a chicken lays about an egg every day and about 300 eggs in her lifetime. The eggs are kept at 100 degrees and need to be rocked or turned. That's usually the chicken's job but since we don't have a chicken, the rocker and incubator will do the work. Now we need to add a little water once a week and be patient! Shhh....they're growing! Thanks Jack!
