2019 School Year Begins!

We have begun another wonderful year at Valley Pre-School making new friends and reconnecting with familiar ones.  

Our first days began with an ocean expedition and our very own submarine to explore our new classroom!   

We also had caterpillars and many chrysalides and after having them hatch into monarch butterflies, we released them into our garden and then they began their journey to Mexico.  

Our first field trip of the year found us at Lost Acres Orchard enjoying a tractor ride and picking so many apples!  We turned those apples into delicious apple sauce and yummy apple pies! 

We had our own apple orchard in class where we picked apples and played with our own apple stand.

Have you ever painted apples with golf balls?....we did!  

One of virtues this month is gentleness.  We learned how to be gentle while bathing a baby, and practiced gentleness with Socrates, our class guinea pig.

Nannie Brown came in to talk to us about homes, like the hornet nest and the box turtle shell.
